Bedspread

A bedspread is a large, decorative bed covering designed to drape over the entire bed from headboard to footboard and extend all the way to the floor on both sides. This generous sizing creates a formal, polished appearance that conceals the bed frame, box spring, and any storage beneath the bed. Bedspreads have been a mainstay of traditional bedroom decor for centuries and remain popular for their ability to create a clean, unified look. The full-coverage design of a bedspread eliminates the need for a separate bed skirt, since the fabric itself reaches the floor. Bedspreads are typically lighter in weight than comforters, as they are meant primarily as decorative covers rather than insulating layers.
